Offset your devices with HP + TLC
The Laptop Company is proud to be New Zealand's first HP Catalyst 3 Sustainability Partner. As a supplier of devices and solutions to business, healthcare, education and government, we are pleased to announce the availability of carbon offsets for all new HP devices we supply.
These offset the end-to-end carbon footprint of eligible HP PCs, so devices remain carbon neutral through to end of use.

Traceable, reportable
All carbon offset projects HP invests in are designed to meet UN Sustainable Development Goals. HP reports include the devices offset, the carbon-equivalent emissions that are being offset, and the projects that offsets are funding.
These reports are available through The Laptop Company and can be used as part of your own emissions reporting.

LCA: Life Cycle Assessed
HP measures the end-to-end carbon-equivalent emissions associated with the sourcing of materials, the manufacture and shipment of devices, it's packaging, the device's usage and energy consumption throughout its expected lifecycle, and its eventual recycling. The Life Cycle Assessment or Product Carbon Footprint for any HP device can be found here: HP Product Carbon Footprint
How do we purchase offsets?
We offer HP Carbon Offsets with each order. If your organisation has a zero carbon goal, let us know and we can include carbon offsets as standard for all devices. These are priced per device and vary based on device type. The offset lasts for the design life of the device and includes manufacture, energy usage, all shipping and supply chain activities, and eventual recycling. You can also purchase offsets retrospectively for HP devices you have ordered from The Laptop Company up to twelve months from order date.
How are the offsets certified?
The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) of each device is measured for all HP business computing devices including laptops, desktops, monitors and workstations. Lifecycle assessments (LCA) are validated by a third-party to conform to ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 and are used by HP to understand the total carbon footprint for HP personal systems products. The carbon offset purchased by the customer is a standardised charge based on device type for device usage within New Zealand. HP then purchases and retires carbon offsets, procured through Climate Impact Partners who certifies HP’s Carbon Neutral Computing Services in accordance with its Carbon Neutral Protocol.
HP Carbon Neutral services are certified by Climate Impact Partners for carbon neutrality.
